What is the Global Alliance
The Global Alliance for Musculoskeletal Health brings together national and international professional, scientific and patient organisations considering all musculoskeletal conditions. Its vision is a world where musculoskeletal health is a priority; where the prevention, treatment and care of any musculoskeletal disorders is of a high standard and consistently accessible in order to improve the health-related quality of life for people with, or at risk of a musculoskeletal condition.
What does it do
The Global Alliance for Musculoskeletal Health works with policy makers at national, regional and global levels. Our mission is to promote musculoskeletal health and science worldwide. It is focused on influencing health policy through evidence and advocacy, using its unified voice and global reach.
The prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries should be among the leading major health concerns in the minds, actions and funding priorities of international health agencies, governments, non-governmental organisations, medical and research communities, funders, media and the general public.
How does it collaborate with the Global Health Network
The Strategic Action plan of the Global Alliance for Musculoskeletal Health includes, as an objective, increasing research that will advance the understanding of musculoskeletal disorders and improve prevention and treatment. The Global Alliance for Musculoskeletal Health is therefore proud to be working in collaboration with the Global Health Network towards our shared goal of supporting research into the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, particularly in developing countries.
The Global Alliance for Musculoskeletal health is working in collaboration with the Global Health Network to provide access to the necessary experts, information, data sources and workings of health services at a local level. This will facilitate our shared goal.
